I worked in my Mum's art studio in Toronto every summer through high school and all I did is play with lettering and learn about spacing and type combinations. I love to do it, so when I'm asked... I go for it.
Below are some of the things I have designed. |
|
|
These are both for my husband.
One for his invoices and business cards and the other, the one on the right, is for his website.
www.stuhllydrums.com.
Our last name is Brennenstuhl and he's always been called Stuhlly, so Stuhlly it is!!
Oh yeah... it's pronounced "stoolie" |
|
 |
This is a logo for my neighbor's band.
They play Catalina once a month. They gave me their name and
the rest was up to me. |

|
This is a business card logo for a personal chef.
Her last name is Eaton, so obviously it's a play on words, hee hee.
The opposite layout is for her invoices and paper products, just for something different. |
|
 |
To the left is a web logo I designed for a client who's website I just designed... nouveaucraft.com.
His old logo was in a very outdated font. It's a design company so I think it fits! |
 |
To the right is a T-shirt design for Birds Cafe. They don't have any T-shirts yet, but hopefully soon...? |

Band Crest |
These are T-shirt designs for a band my husband is in, The Dirges.
Their logo icon is the "Rat" that appears in most of the designs.
Everything else is a result of brainstorming with the band on what they thought would sell... and they have!! |

Triskilion Irish Design |

for the girls... |

Quote from a song... |

retro design |
| |

The band likes Guinness! |

This is another example of just using the right font to create a feeling. Papyrus is a widely used font. I changed the sizes of the letters in the words and the letter spacing to customize it. It is also on a plaster wall background.
Below is the web splash page logo. The Monarch Butterfly was throughout the site used as decoration and click on buttons.
